Self-discovery without more thinking
If you have read the books, written the lists and still do not know what you want, the problem is probably not a lack of information. Insight that stays in the head rarely changes how you live.
Renovo Path uses a simple inquiry in three movements: set aside why you think you are here, feel what it is like to be here, and from that feeling ask what you want to do. You can try it yourself in the guided practice in our journal.
What you do on the retreat
- Somatic and embodied practice. Breath, movement and grounding, to reach what thinking cannot.
- Games and theatre. Role reversal, improvisation and mirror work reach patterns that conversation politely avoids.
- Circle dialogue. Small peer groups, where people discover their private predicament is a common one.
- Guided reflection. Mapping the distance between the life being lived and the life wanted.
- Integration scaffolding. Monthly group calls for six months, because insight without structure tends to fade.
What changes, and what does not
We do not promise a new life in four days, and we do not teach a doctrine. What people can take home is a clearer sense of what they are living by other people's expectations, a way of checking in with the body, and a group of peers who will keep checking in for six months.
Is it right for you?
Not the right time if: you are in acute crisis or distress; you are in active addiction; you are living with untreated severe mental illness; someone else has sent you. These situations need care first, not a retreat. We say so plainly and refer you onward.
- You have built a career, stability or standing
- You sense you are living by others' expectations
- Something feels missing, though you cannot yet name it
- You are ready to look honestly, and willing to change
